Corporate Central Champions Heroism, Returning as Title Sponsor of Milwaukee’s Second Annual Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk
Corporate Central is proud to return as the main sponsor of the second annual Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk, a community-driven 5K event honoring the sacrifice of first responders and military heroes. The event will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Veterans Memorial Park in Muskego, WI, bringing together local heroes, families, runners, and supporters from across the region.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation was established in memory of Stephen Siller, an FDNY firefighter, who gave his life to save others on September 11, 2001. After strapping on 60 pounds of gear, Siller ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers, where he made the ultimate sacrifice. His legacy lives on through the Foundation’s mission to honor military and first responder heroes. The Milwaukee 5K Run & Walk, which simulates Siller’s run through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, is part of a national series that supports this mission through fundraising and community engagement.
Since its launch, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation has delivered over 1,000 mortgage-free homes to the families of fallen first responders, Gold Star families, and catastrophically injured veterans. In 2024 alone, the Foundation hosted more than 70 Run, Walk, and Climb events across the country, engaging tens of thousands of participants, and raising millions of dollars to support its mission. These events are powered by volunteers, including veterans, students, and local businesses, who are all united by a shared commitment to honor and remember America’s heroes. Corporate Central’s involvement reflects a deep dedication to community service and a belief in the importance of giving back to those who have given so much.
“It’s a privilege to support such a meaningful cause and to stand alongside the community in honoring our nation’s heroes,” said Amy Nowak, Volunteer Director and Human Resources Generalist. “We invite everyone to join us on this special day—to walk, to run, and to remember.”
Last year’s inaugural Milwaukee event was a resounding success, attracting over 100 participants and raising significant funds for the Foundation’s programs. With growing momentum and community enthusiasm, the second annual event is expected to be even more impactful.
