Michael Baumann
Michael’s journey with Corporate Central began in November 2019 as a part-time Member Services Representative. By March 2020, he dove into a full-time role, and just a few months later, in July 2020, he shifted gears into the Investments department as an Investment Assistant. His hard work paid off in January 2023, when he was promoted to Investment Analyst.
Today, Michael conducts economic, market, and sector analysis and assesses current and potential investment holdings. He evaluates borrowing limits and performs credit analysis for member credit unions on top of helping them access the best investment and loan products. Additionally, he performs security safekeeping functions and provides monthly reporting for the Board and ALCO.
Michael's credit union roots run deep—he started as a Youth Apprentice in high school at Park City Credit Union and completed three internships with the credit union during college. On top of that, he has experience in the tech world with a computer software company.
Academically, Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate from UW-Stevens Point and an MBA with a financial concentration from UW-Milwaukee. He’s also earned the prestigious Certified Credit Union Investments Professional (CCUIP) designation.
