The APRP certification recognizes advanced expertise in payments risk management, compliance, fraud prevention, and operational controls. Earning the designation requires extensive preparation and a strong understanding of payment systems, regulatory requirements, fraud mitigation, risk management, and operational best practices.

And for Schmidt, it is just the latest chapter in a career built around continuous learning. With the APRP, she now holds nine industry designations, each representing a commitment to expanding her knowledge and finding new ways to support Corporate Central's member credit unions.

"Stephanie is truly a forever learner," said Heather Ristow, CCUE, Senior Vice President/Chief Experience Officer. "Anyone who has pursued a certification like this knows it takes nights, weekends, determination, and a genuine commitment to being the best resource possible for the people you serve. Stephanie lives that commitment every day. We are incredibly proud of her continued growth and the knowledge, perspective, and expertise she shares with our members and team."

Schmidt's expertise spans payments, fraud prevention, compliance, risk management, and operations, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing today's financial services industry. Her commitment to professional development not only strengthens her own expertise but also helps Corporate Central deliver greater value to the credit unions it serves.

"Every certification is an opportunity to learn something new and bring that knowledge back to the people we serve," Schmidt said. "The payments landscape continues to evolve, so there is always more to learn."

Schmidt's latest accomplishment reflects Corporate Central's commitment to professional development and its belief that continuous learning leads to stronger expertise, better solutions, and greater value for member credit unions.

Nine designations and counting. For Stephanie Schmidt, there is always something new to learn.
