Shannon Cate, NCP, CCUFC, CWCUL serves as Director of Member Experience at Corporate Central, where she brings more than a decade of experience supporting and championing credit unions and their members. Since joining Corporate Central in September 2014 as a Member Services Representative, Shannon has advanced through multiple leadership roles, including Member Services Specialist and Manager Member Services, before stepping into her current role in July 2024.
In her role, Shannon is responsible for shaping and enhancing the overall member experience through intentional internal touchpoints, feedback-driven strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives. Her work spans operational oversight of corporate cash services, assisting with core conversions and new service implementations, being a voice for the member in product development, and supporting member credit union mergers. She is especially passionate about helping members navigate change in a rapidly evolving industry while maintaining strong relationships and trust.
Prior to joining Corporate Central, Shannon gained hands-on experience at a full-service credit union, along with roles in customer service and data entry, giving her a well-rounded understanding of credit union operations at every level. She holds an associate’s degree in business and earned her National Check Professional (NCP) accreditation in 2022. In 2024, she completed the Leadership Institute Part I Certificate with University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee School of Continuing Education in partnership with the Wisconsin Credit Union League, earning the Certified Wisconsin Credit Union Leader (CWCUL) designation.
Known for her exceptional organizational skills, collaborative leadership style and member-first mindset, Shannon approaches her work with genuine enthusiasm and purpose. As she shares, "Changes in this industry are inevitable, and I'm excited to work directly with our members to help navigate those changes and share the weight of the challenges along the way."
Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, watching documentaries, and planning trips to Disney.
