Frederick L. Blask, CBSAP, NCRM, CCUFC, CWCUL

Over the course of his career since joining Corporate Central in 2006, Fred has held various roles spanning information technology, risk management, and compliance. Fred proudly serves as Vice President Governance, Risk & Compliance in his current leadership position since 2017. In this role, Fred leads the credit union’s overall culture of compliance and oversees enterprise risk management, vendor management, operational resiliency, and the coordination of audits and regulatory examinations. He works closely with internal stakeholders, external audit firms, and state and federal regulators to help strengthen Corporate Central’s risk and compliance framework.

Fred is passionate about the credit union philosophy of people helping people, which continues to guide his leadership and service. He is known for his innovative perspective, ethical approach, and commitment to supporting credit union values through sound governance and risk management practices.

His industry credentials include the Certified Bank Secrecy Act Professional (CBSAP) and Certified Risk Manager (NCRM) designations from America’s Credit Union. He also earned the Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) certification and completed the Wisconsin Credit Union League’s Leadership Institute and earned the Certified Wisconsin Credit Union Leader (CWCUL) designation through the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee School of Continuing Education. Fred has participated in the Tristate Collaborative Mentorship Match Program as both a mentee and mentor. He remains active in professional development through credit union conferences and industry programs focused on governance, risk management, compliance, leadership, and innovation, including Filene’s Big Bright Minds and the inaugural Wisconsin Credit Union League and Filene WILD program.

Outside of work, he can be found hanging with family, walking his crazy dogs, and staying active in his faith. He is also a comic/sci-fi nerd, loyal fan of the Milwaukee Bucks and Green Bay Packers, and enjoys seeking out live music whenever he can.
