Tunnel to Towers

The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk is a tribute to the 343 FDNY firefighters, law enforcement officers, and thousands of civilians who died on September 11, 2001, those who continue to lose their lives to 9/11-related illnesses, and the more than 7,000 service members who lost their lives in the Global War on Terror.

What: Tunnel to Towers Foundation was created to ensure that we NEVER FORGET the heroic sacrifice made by first responders on September 11, 2001. 

The 5K is the latest of more than 75 events being held across America in 2025 as part of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s National Run, Walk and Climb Series. 

Since 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation has been supporting America’s heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building specially adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. Tunnel to Towers’ newest mission is to eradicate veteran homelessness nationwide, believing no one should be struggling on the streets of the country they helped protect.
